Un grand arbuste ou un petit arbre. Il atteint une hauteur de 6 à 10 m et un diamètre de 3 à 5 m. La jeune pousse est collante. Les feuilles mesurent 7 à 28 cm de long sur 3 à 18 cm de large. Ils sont vert foncé dessus et plus pâles avec des poils blancs dessous. Ils sont coriaces et effilés jusqu'à la pointe. Les groupes de fleurs mesurent 1 à 4 cm de long. Il y a 6 à 14 fleurs groupées à l'aisselle des feuilles. Les fleurs mesurent 0,4 cm de diamètre et sont de couleur crème ou verte. Ils ont un parfum.
