Une herbe basse. Il continue de croître d'année en année. Les tiges sont dressées. Ils mesurent 15 à 40 cm de long. Il y a quelques feuilles sur la partie inférieure de la tige et elles mesurent 8-25 cm de long sur 0,5-2 cm de large. Ils se rétrécissent à la base dans la tige des feuilles qui a des ailes. Les feuilles supérieures sont petites et ressemblent à des bractées. Ils mesurent 1 à 3 mm de long. Il y a plusieurs capitules. Ils sont blancs et jaunes{{{0(+x) (traduction automatique).
