Un arbre à feuilles persistantes. Les jeunes pousses sont légèrement velues. L'écorce a une odeur. L'écorce est sombre ou vierge et présente de fines fissures. Les feuilles sont sur deux rangées. Ils sont étroitement en forme d'épée et se rétrécissent à la pointe. Les fleurs mâles sont en grappes et sans tiges. Les fleurs femelles se produisent individuellement.
